Colorín Colorado - This site is filled with useful information, strategies, activities, and resources for all teachers of ELLs, whether you are an ESL teacher or a content area teacher with one or two English learners in your class. Although many of the activities have been designed for children in PreK-3, most can be adapted for children in upper elementary, middle school, and high school. WIDA Consortium Homepage - The World-class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) Consortium site. WIDA is a consortium of states (Wisconsin is the lead state) dedicated to the design and implementation of high standards and equitable educational opportunities for English language learners. To this end, the WIDA Consortium has developed English language proficiency standards and an English language proficiency test (ACCESS for ELLs™) and is developing a system of alternate academic assessments for English language learners (SUCCESS™).
