This workshop is designed to introduce educators to the essentials of inquiry-based learning within the context of project-based learning, equipping them with the strategies and tools necessary to foster a dynamic, inquiry-driven classroom environment. Participants will learn how inquiry acts as the driving force in PBL, guiding students to ask questions, conduct research, and explore complex problems as they undertake projects that have real-world relevance and impact.  The workshop will focus on effective use of technology to enhance the PBL learning experience for edcuators and the staffs as they craft their final products.

Educators will have the opportunity to design their own inquiry-driven project-based learning plans tailored to their educational contexts.  As well as explore technology tools to help drive the PBL learning plan.

This workshop is ideal for teachers, curriculum designers, and educational leaders who aim to create a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning through integrated inquiry and project-based methodologies.

The first part of this workshop provides learning, activities, and resources for growing number sense. Compassion Resilience for Educators - June 25, 2024 http://www.cesa4.org/pro/event_viewMQR.cfm?eventid=35113&memberid=902 In educational environments, we want adults to maintain a compassionate presence as they interact with students who present with unique and complex challenges. However, the additional pressures placed on our educators today often rob them of the resilience they need to face adversity in the school environment, and bounce back with vitality after setbacks. Compassion resilience training supports educators, administrators, and school board members with understanding, recognizing, and preventing/reversing the impacts of compassion fatigue within your school system. The training offers brief, flexible learning activities that can be integrated into staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing communications.
